Bishop Issues Pastoral Letter regarding Worship

On Tuesday, 24 March 2021, Bishop John issued a Pastoral Letter regarding Worship in the Diocese of New Westminster.  This letter was in response to Dr Henry's revised guidelines that now permit outdoor gatherings of 50 people (or 50 cars with occupants).  Bishop John gave permission for Anglican parishes to schedule such worship services.

However, Bishop John did not give his consent to hold in-door worship until after 11 April or later.  Notwithstanding Dr Henry's revised order that permits in-door worship gatherings for a specific time period, Anglican parishes are not permitted to hold in-door worship services until such time as the Bishop permits.

At Holy Trinity Cathedral we will continue to hold live-stream services following the protocols established by our Diocese.  These protocols limit the number of people in the Cathedral during the service to no more than ten.  We will continue to limit our music to instrumental pieces with the words to hymns published to permit people on-line to sing if they wish.

Any questions should be directed to the Vicar, the Venerable Richard Geoffrey Leggett.
