The Ending of an Era

We give thanks for her life-long dedication to duty and to the strengthening of the Commonwealth.

The protocol regarding memorial services in congregations and dioceses on the occasion of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is that such services are not to be held until after the Queen’s funeral in the United Kingdom and the associated national memorial in Canada.  Until then we shall remember the Queen in our prayers with thanksgiving, the Royal Family in their grief and the King in this time of transition.

On Sunday, 25 September 2022, at 4.00 p.m. there will be a special service of Evensong at Christ Church Cathedral to honour Her Majesty.  All are welcome to attend.

The Queen is dead.  Long live the King!
