In his first Views from the Vicar, the Rev. Richard Leggett draws our attention to Romans 5:3-5.

We even take pride in our problems, because we know that trouble produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope. This hope does not put us to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

With that spirit of hope, Holy Trinity Cathedral's leaders are figuring out how to maintain worship and community.

Weekly schedule: Our vicar, the Rev. Richard Leggett, has developed a weekly schedule to ensure regular communication and worship. See below for details.

Sunday worship: See below for a copy of the 10 am order of service for March 22. Follow along on Facebook live or afterwards on the website.

Not on Facebook but want to join? Contact Tasha for help getting set up.

Staff: Richard will continue to work from his office at the church. Marcia is on holiday this week. Tasha is working from home in voluntary self isolation (she's fine). Carole, Leah and George are maintaining appropriate social distancing. Neil is continuing with verger duties.

Breakfast Club: Along with all other public gatherings, the Breakfast Club is suspended until May 3rd. Richard is encouraging those who are able to skip breakfast on Thursdays in solidarity with our guests, and also to set aside $5 each week so that we have a fund for when we re-start. Please pray for our guests and volunteers, all of whom will be missing the community time and well as hot breakfast.

Keeping in touch: If you are concerned about yourself or anyone else, please contact Richard, Carole or Tasha. We don't want to miss anyone, so even if you think we're aware, don't hesitate. Better too much communication than not enough. We know that some parishioners are not on-line, and we are working out ways to connect with them. If you have ideas, contact one of the clergy.

Stewardship and financial giving: Please continue your financial support for Holy Trinity Cathedral as you are able. The Diocesan financial officer is finding out whether we are eligible for any aid from the federal government; in the meantime, we still have expenses.
